WOMEN OF PASSIONS ~ KENYA

“Greet Tryphena and Tryphosa, those women who work hard in the Lord. Greet my dear friend Persis, another woman who has worked very hard in the Lord” (Rom.16:12)

In the days past, I used to think women were meant just to be silent listeners, passive members of the Church and had nothing to contribute both in family and church.

But the more I read the Bible, the more my quest for answers about women in ministry increased. Romans 16:12 challenged my belief and helped me to turn around my life by giving me a totally new perspective of life and ministry. Ever since I applied this verse in my life, the “burden” of serving alongside my husband as he pastors five churches changed and became a real new discovered joy. I came to realize women too can be real busy for the Lord as they serve their families too.

God has given me a vision for Women of PASSIONS ~ Kenya and I will love to share with you the same so you may stand with me in prayer and any other manner as the Lord leads.

Women of PASSIONS is committed to strengthening the hands of Pastor George Kaye and his wife, Minister Velma Kaye, President of Women of PASSIONS ~ Kenya, as they minister day in and day out without the committed financial support of any organization.

Pastor Kaye oversees several churches in some of the most impoverished regions in central and western Kenya, traveling constantly to minister to the people and to bring them hope in the Name of Jesus Christ.  Velma is a powerful minister in her own right, making personal contact with women near and far, going into their homes, teaching the Word, praying for the women and their families, and counseling them in marriage and family relationships.

This precious family has no income outside of God's provision.  In 2005, Women of PASSIONS provided the funds to begin a poultry farm to not only feed them but to help support them as they raise money through poultry and egg sales.  The family has no means of transportation and must depend on the unreliable and very uncomfortable public transportation to travel to the many churches they oversee.  They live a very simple life while trusting God for all their needs.

Sister Velma has serious health problems that have not yet been properly diagnosed.  The medical services available to them in Kenya are very limited.  Women of PASSIONS has provided a full-time housekeeper to help her with the burden of the daily household chores so her energy and strength can be preserved for ministry outreaches.

In Kenya, the children are required to attend school.  It is mandatory that the children wear uniforms and that the tuition be paid in a timely manner or the children are unable to attend until the tuition is paid.

For these reasons, we need you to partner with us to provide for this family and others like them who are in full-time ministry and are unable to provide for their families because of their sacrificial lifestyle.

Irene Nasike was born on 8th February 1996. She is in primary school level 5. She says that she wishes to be a surgeon. She likes watching television, reading story books, singing, reciting and travelling.

Lavender Nanjala was born on 25th November 2000. She is in nursery school and will be proceeding to primary school level one next year.
